The Ashville Relay For Life is coming up on Saturday, May 17th from noon
until 7AM on Sunday morning.

We will have the opening ceremony starting at noon with the survivor
walk.  Anyone who has had cancer or is currently battling it is invited
to walk, with their caregiver during that lap. Following that lap, will
be the introduction of the teams and they will have 1 lap.  Then
_ANYONE_ is allowed on the track to walk in memory or in honor of
someone with cancer.
We have wonderful entertainment all day and night including  bands,
solists, a cruise in, games and a hill-billy wedding.  The theme is:
Dancing for a Cure so we will have some dance demonstrations, and
competitions as well as  a group of Irish Dancers performing. There will
be good food and fun all day and all night.

The luminary lighting will take place at dark.  This year several
businesses and members of the Ashville community donated money to
purchase beautiful purple and white luminaries.  We will have a special
service to honor John Adkins before the lighting, with his daughter,
Kendall reading a special tribute to him.  That will be followed by a
lap walked in honor of John, and then the entire track will be lit with
luminaries.

Come and help support the fight for a cure for cancer on Saturday, May
17th at the Teays Valley High School track.
