The South Bloomfield Village Library has been serving the community for 15 years. We opened July 24, 1989 with a selection of 1600 donated books and a staff of volunteers, after a request to place a branch library in South Bloomfield was turned down by the Pickaway District Library.      Today the library has a larger selection of books and also includes hundreds of videos, magazines and even puzzles and games that can be checked out. We have recently acquired a computer and children's educational software that can be used on site at no charge.      The library has seen many changes over the last 15 years but some things remain the same. We are still staffed entirely by volunteers who love to read and want to encourage others in the community to read. Also, the library still relies on donations of both materials and funds to stock the shelves. We have been fortunate to receive many donations and want to sincerely thank those who have given so generously to support the library.          Stop in and see what your library has to offer you

The library has been very fortunate as we received quite a few donations. Our thanks to Wally & Sandy Burns, Kate Roese, Phyllis Yates, Alisha Burke, Joann Frush and Betty Brashkett for books and Doug Burke for videos. The library has purchased "Shrek II" for the children, plus several new childrens books. We also have a nice collection of Christmas stories, so stop by and see us.
